PR Guesthouse is at one end of Chewang Beach Rd but just means you have to stretch your legs a little more...!! No Reception after 10pm but front door is left open which is a little alarming. PR is very basic but comfortable with daily cleaning and they respect the Do Not Disturb sign if you have it out. Some reviews said you could hear bar noise at night - we didn t over the 6 nights we stayed. No breakfast within PR but walk out the door, turn right and eat at AKWA - great & huge variety of food. Overall, if you re just looking for a bed rather than a hotel/resort, PR is perfect. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

I have been very glad to be in this guesthouse, the staff was very present for help or advices, the room was quite big with a big bed, TV, fridge, space to put clothes, big bathroom with hot water, view on the mountain behind the hotel. Also AC and fan on demand. Maybe the only negative point was a bit noise in the morning because of building works around but of course it was temporary. The price was really good and 4 times cheaper compared to the hotels in front of the beach. The very center is maybe 20 mn walk. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Room was white wash and clean and washroom was clean too.But a little bit stains on bed sheets.in the price range it s nice pick.AC works quite great cooling.The only draw back is they don t have resturent inside.The place is in centerl area of ko samui.Over all great stay at PR Guesthouse. Family-run(?) establishment, friendly, polite, helpful staff. Basic room with very sober decor, but clean, with comfortable bed, functional shower, aircon and tv (half-dozen channels). No breakfast facilities and not on the beach. But no lack of places to breakfast nearby, a 7-11 directly across the street (which is also a good landmark for giving directions to taxi drivers), and 5 mins. walk (via the grounds of other resorts) to the beach. Although there s an outdoor bar next door that blasts music a few nights during the week until about 2am, this turned out to be somewhat less of a nuisance than I d expected, provided I slept with the window closed (I d brought earplugs with me just in case, but ended up not using them.)

Excellent value for money, for just 600 baht per night you got air con, minibar, spacious clean room and shower with plenty of hot water. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside is that my room window looked out onto the busy streets and sometimes it was difficult to get some sleep. Overall 9/10.

The room was mostly clean, but there were some stains in the toilet. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioner was fantastic (after the long and hot trip we took). The people at the front were kind and helpful. We d definitely stay there again. It was well worth the money :)

really a good budget hotel,have a place to sleep and bath.The room is clear the air-con is cold,i book 2 night but after i see the room i book 1 more night.only the disadv is a bit fair to the main market,if u take tu tu will cost u 100b for very short distance,i think is quite expensive. The Guesthouse is clean and good for low budget. Service is good but the staff can speak little English. The room we stay is not along the roadside and very noisy at night till 2am as there seems a bar with a live band close to the building, really annoying. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Room was spacious and just what I needed! A place to sleep and shower! IF you re looking for a nice place to stay at non-resort prices this fits the bill! Its a bit of a walk from the main loud Chaweng strip but its not too far (10-15min). Only thing that was a bit troublesome was the lack of the front desks ability to speak english!! but if you want a great place to go to help you book tours and such...walk about 10min north to Emb@ssy..wonderful staff, plus internet, food and rooms if you want to be in the heart of Chaweng! Good value for money. The shower was reasonably hot, the room was cleaned every day and we were given fresh towels. The beach is a 10 min walk along the main road. Plenty of places to eat, drink and shop on the hotel s doorstep. The TV in the room only had two channels, both of which were in Thai, but you can hire a DVD player and DVD s from a shop up the road. The only bad point was the noise at night. There is a rock bar round the corner. I slept through it, but my girlfriend used earplugs. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

My husband and I booked the guesthouse for 3 nights and ended up staying for 7. It is in a good location (the quiter end of Chaweng Beach but not far from everything). The beach at this end is much nicer than at the north of Chaweng Beach. The guesthouse was clean and had everything you could want (towels, fridge, TV, very good air con, 2 free bottles of water per day) . All for 800 baht per night! Would recommend to those on a budget as you will get pretty much the same facilities as you would in the hotels on the beachside except there you pay double plus. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

the staff, the room, the location is worth every penny, the rooms are quite small and really only big enough for a couple but hey..... at this price put the kids into a room of their own. the air con is brill, no breakfast but who cares, TV not good but do you want one when on holiday, beach accross the road, when i come back to samui i will always stay here. the staff are great.
